Last night I sat down to watch American Inventor which aims to give away 1 million dollars to the best invention found. What I thought would be an interesting programme proved to be more light entertainment if not in some cases poking fun at the absurd creations and people responsible.
The format looked familiar then reality kicked in as Simon Cowell is the executive producer with help from Peter Jones so what we have got is XFactor meets Dragons Den (a programme made in the UK) with much less sophistication!
No proof of research, financial statistics or marketing is needed to enter seemed to be the criteria (If this was Dragons Den people would not even make it in front of the panel) so no wonder any Tom, Dick or Harry walked off the street to try there luck!
Come on America a hat with a stick attached to your back so it does not fall off and hub caps to go over normal bicycle wheels so they look nice. The mind wonders do most of the people shown have anything better to do with there spare time?
Oh yes, how could I forget the near violent moment with the inventor of the bike hub caps as only found on an American TV show.
An interesting fact that came from this programme is that 51% of Americans eat in there car at least twice a week which is frightening but never the less gave someone the idea for the Autobib which is basically a box of bibs for adults you can keep in the car!
The only missing person is Jerry Springer as host to make the formula complete!
I was watching an interview with the 60s icon fashion designer Vivienne Westwood who said "Life is getting full of many distractions and everybody is loosing sight of what is important. This is encouraged by people like politicians so we do not realise what is happening.". This made me think and observe others around me and I have to say she is right as our lives present so many choices compared to as little as 10 years ago that it is easy to get distracted (such as a blog) with matters around you and loose sight of life and priorities. Take a moment as I did to evaluate what you and others do and you will see how true the statement is of you / others!
This is a great phone but I have been disapointed to find the following problems even with installing the latest firmware which is : WIFI using a Netgear router can only be detected if it is not hidden and you are not able to move emails into folders which I could using a Nokia N80, even Nokia support did not have an answer! Do you?

Action breeds reaction so if you are calm others around you will be. If it is a problem with a partner try and resolve the issue before going to sleep so you have a great nights rest and feel much more relaxed in the morning.
